This video documents the work of 18 students from Fremont Ross High School in Fremont, Ohio as they strove to create a song, album cover, and video over the course of three days in October of 2017. The group was led in this journey by Radiant City Arts, a group specializing in instructing and producing accross the arts with high school age students.
Radiant City is an arts education provider specializing in music, poetry and visual arts workshops with a focus on developing leadership skills and self empowerment founded by Visual Artist Yusuf Lateef, Musician and Producer Ben Cohen and Poet Educator Akili Jackson in 2013. We facilitate a safe environment to foster positive communication skills, encourage leadership and cooperation in groups, and to encourage creativity and self expression as a means to build self esteem and confidence. We have partnered with such organizations as The Toledo Museum of Art, Toledo Public Schools, The Arts Commission of Greater Toledo, Toledo School for the Arts, Youth Arts of Alliance and the Zepf Center to create multi-disciplinary work.
